I first heard about Tall Ship Pelican from my friends including Shirley Butler, who took part in the Tall Ships Races last year and enjoyed it so much she is taking part this year as well.
It sounded like such a great opportunity I feel that I would regret not getting involved this year! I've not really done any sailing before and want to do something in the music business when I leave education, but i feel that if this experience onboard goes well then you never no what could happen in the future.
I am little bit nervous about being sea sick the whole time but i'm really looking forward to meeting new people and seeing new places .I'm going from Lerwick to Stavanger on TS Pelican as part of the International Tall Ships Races 2011 so I will definitely get to do both of these!
The main things I hope to gain are new friendships and life skills. |
