Dartmouth Royal Regatta 2016

22nd Aug 2016 14:00 - 27th Aug 2016 10:00

Adults: was £625, now just £399!

Young people: was £500, now just £299!

Bad weather forced Queen Victoria to take refuge in beautiful Dartmouth in 1856 where she saw the regatta first hand.  She was so amused by the event that she granted a Royal Charter in 1856 and the rest is history!

Over 300 boats and yachts take part in the races in Start Bay with other attractions including The Red Arrows. Over 100,000 people attend and Pelican will be moored in the beautiful Dart River with access to the shore in our RIB.

On 24th you will be in a prime position to view the opening ceremony of the regatta and vessels large and small take part in a river flotilla along the River Dart.

We will spend the 25th August enjoying a day of sailing out of Dartmouth, giving you the opportunity to expand on the skills you have acquired on the voyage down to the regatta. We will then return to the river mooring for any evening events.

On 26th August you will have an opportunity either to go ashore and enjoy the festivities, or remain on the ship to watch the world go by as the regatta continues. Why not treat yourself?  The regatta's popular shopping village is back where you can buy  something for your home, your family and yourself? Jewellery, clothing, arts and crafts, a food hall and nautical bits and pieces are on offer.
