Join the TS Pelican for the ultimate gap year adventure. Sign on as working crew and take a full part in every aspect of life at sea. The ship calls at Portugal and Spain, follows the sun to the Canaries and then makes speed further south to pick up the NE Trade winds off the Cape Verdes.
You may decide to learn a new skill and work through the Pelican Work Book or undertake RYA tuition.
Be involved in Pelican's Ocean projects for the National Oceanography Centre and the Meteorological Office.
Experience is rewarded with increased responsibility, yet team work remains a way of life on board.

Once the Atlantic Ocean is conquered, we'll go off the beaten track, exploring the superb Caribbean islands from Grenada to Antigua.
Meet the people while conducting cultural and community projects on the islands with schools and local youth. Discover the spices, snorkel the reefs and explore the rain forest.

On board you will make friendships that last a lifetime. The first challenge together is crossing the Atlantic itself. Once across, the chance to explore the Caribbean region presents opportunities for true adventure and discovery.
You may find yourself climbing volcanoes, snorkeling on coral reefs or exploring the villages and experiencing their vibrant and exciting cultures.
