Join TS Pelican as a 'trainee' crew member in Cadiz, Spain on 30 July. After spending your first night alongside acclimatising and receiving safety briefings, you will be able to help prepare the ship to depart the following morning along with the your new crew mates. You will work in watches around the clock and will be able to be involved in every aspect of sailing the ship - including rope work, navigation, climbing the rigging, taking the helm, cleaning, helping in the galley, etc.

Alongside our friends on board tall ships from across the world, Pelican will sail from Cadiz and head along the Iberian penninsula.

Cadiz is a fascinating place to spend a few days before boarding Pelican – it’s Spain’s oldest continuously inhabited city and boasts a wealth of landmarks and ancient buildings.  Winding narrow alleys open on to vast plazas with the cathedral and its distinctive cupola being the city’s most celebrated landmark.  But you’re here for the sailing and the last chance to compete in the Diamond Anniversary event!

The voyage also includes a visit to the Ilhavo Sea Festival in Portugal. This world famous event is in its 3rd year and the program of events will be fantastic.

This is ocean sailing its best as we race north along the Portuguese and Spanish coasts, arriving in La Coruna in time for the crew events there - including the crew parade competition which TS Pelican's crew very often win!

You will then leave the ship in La Coruna on 13 August and make your way home.
