La Coruna with its roots in the Roman Empire was the port from which the Spanish Armada set sail. It has many fascinating sites of interest including the UNESCO World Heritage Site the Hercules Tower, now a lighthouse. The city is famed for its beautiful compass rose overlooking the Atlantic showing cardinal direction, the stunning obelisk of Don Aureliano, the statue of Celtic king Breogan and the Castle of San Anton dating from the 16th century.
Please be aware that all voyage itineraries can change without notice, since we are at the mercy of the weather and wind. A change in weather or operational reasons can mean we are unable to visit a port as planned or that time ashore is lengthened or shortened.
