La Coruna, Gaelic for “the harbour of brave men” on the exposed north west coast of Spain is the last port in the Diamond Anniversary Tall Ships’ Races in 2016 and is a great starting point for a voyage back to Pelican’s home port in Dorset.  This voyage is ideally suited for youngsters doing their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award (residential element) or for sailors working towards RYA offshore qualifications.  Before you know it, you’ll be sailing into Weymouth Bay bounded by its spectacular golden beach and Georgian terraces as Pelican moors alongside in the harbour with its pretty pastel painted cottages.
