Voyage Crew Grants
Adventure Under Sail provides grants to young people to enable them to participate in Tall Ships Races and voyages of discovery. These include 10-day adventure voyages and the three-month, life-changing Transatlantic programme - promoting multi-cultural experiences and encouraging personal development.
Young people are recommended to us from various youth organisations such as Connexions, the Children’s Society, Guides, Scouts and Youth Centres and all cadet forces.
We have worked closely with scholls on a local and, more recently, on a national scale.
The cost of a 10-day voyage, including insurance, passport and travel to and from the ship is in the region of £1,500. All young people are encouraged to raise a significant contribution to their voyage fee under the guidance of our office team and volunteers. This is the first step for a young person, generating a sense of achievement and inclusion before the voyage even begins.
Providing A Grant
Any contribution, however small, will help us to offer this life-changing opportunity to another young person. In return Adventure Under Sail will actively highlight any contribution made in future press releases, associated press articles and on our website.
